Pre-CanSkate Program (Learn to Skate)
Our Learn To Skate program is for children 3+ who have not yet skated, who are still unsteady on skates or who only minimally independent on skates. This is a non-parented program.
This program is run by certified CanSkate Coaches as well as several trained Program Assistants who are on ice to support and encourage these developing skaters.
CanSkate Program
Our CanSkate program is for children who have completed the Learn to Skate program or those who are independent on skates, could travel the length of the arena on their own and are ready to work on their balance, speed and agility while on skates. The CanSkate program includes several levels and skill areas that develop skaters in the areas of balance, control and agility.
PreStar Program
The PreStar program reflects CanSkate levels 5 & 6 and prepares skaters for more advanced figure skating and may include some independent practice time on the ice. This program is two nights a week. Previous skaters will have been notified if they are ready to move into this level. If you are new to our skating club and you think this program may be more suited for your skater please contact us via email at tweedfigureskating@gmail.com for further discussion.

STARSkate Program
The STARSkate program includes the levels and various disciplines of advanced figure skating in accordance with the Skate Canada curriculum. While there are some group lessons and team elements, skaters do work primarily independently and receive private coaching specific to dance, skills and free-skate. The StarSkate program is two nights a week with the option of an additional third night.
